AOCA's consulting engineering team supports clients across remediation, latent defects, litigation, planning and health and safety — delivering technically sound, site-specific solutions informed by decades of hands-on engineering practice in Ireland and the UK.

Remediation & Reinstatement

Our team has extensive experience assessing and remediating damaged or defective buildings, including pyrite-affected homes, fire-damaged structures, flood-impacted properties and subsidence cases. We deliver technically sound, site-specific solutions informed by decades of hands-on engineering practice and knowledge of local conditions.

Construction Latent Defect Remediation

We have over 30 years of latent defect investigation and remediation experience in Ireland and the UK. AOCA Engineering Consultants were the sole engineering consultant for Liberty Syndicates and their Premier Guarantee LDI policy, managing the full investigation and remediation of over 1,000 residential homes. Currently, through our sister company Fire Safety Consultants, AOCA is remediating apartment schemes throughout Ireland via the Apartment Remediation Defect Scheme — and from our UK office in Manchester we have managed over £200m of latent defect remediation projects, from investigation, scope of works and design through to construction and handover.

Expert Witness Services for Litigation

We regularly provide expert witness services, drawing on years of direct project experience. From subsidence and structural failures to insurance claims and dispute resolution, our engineers offer clear, objective and practical technical evidence that reflects real-world engineering challenges and solutions.

Planning & Development Services

AOCA has significant experience in securing planning permission and managing the full planning application process, including site appraisal, surveys, environmental coordination and regulatory compliance.

Surveys & Mapping

We provide land surveying, mapping, setting-out and boundary services to support planning, design and construction activities.

Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)

We regularly provide health and safety consultancy as well as PSDP services for projects we are involved in. Many of our staff have carried out training through the ACEI and are competent to fulfil this very important and legally required role.
